Regular Scheduled Programs at the Library for Adults
Geri-Fit Strength Training exercises - hopefully will resume in the fall.
Geri-Fit® -- the First Workout with Weights for Older Adults with Francesca Fisher (DVD) - filmed in 1996 with floorwork was begun as a federal study at the Arlington Public Library in April of 2019. Weight training exercises for the elderly that increase mobility and improves arthritic conditions.
Since then the library continues to do strength and stretch exercises for residents of the community each Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 -10:00 in the library meeting room.
Coffee-Social Hour will be held on Tuesdays from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Beverage and good conversation is on the menu.
Card Night will begin in September on Thursdays from 6:00-9:00. Check the website for updates.
Bingo iwill resume for all ages soon.
Monthly Book Discussion Group A book discussion group is a forum where readers can come together and talk about books and the reading experience. The Arlington Public holds a monthly book discussion each month. New days and time to come.
Book discussion groups build community. They offer opportunity for intelligent conversation and lead to deeper understanding of an author's work. Members form life-long friendships.
